Stofnun Hinseginfélags Frosta

Í upphafi árs stofnaði Frosti hinseginfélag til þess að svara eftirspurn unglinganna í hverfinu. Undirbúningurinn er í fullum gangi og það hafa verið fundir í hverri viku með unglingum sem eru hinsegin, eða með hinsegin pælingar.  

Markmið Hinseginfélags Frosta er að gefa hinsegin unglingum öruggt rými þar sem þau geta átt samræður og eignast vini í sömu pælingum. Frosti vinnur með Hinseginfélaginu til þess að styðja við hinsegin unglinga og stuðla að vellíðan þeirra í félagsmiðstöðinni

Byrjað var á því að gera plakat með  hinsegin fánum ásamt skýringum til þess að setja á vegg inni í Frosta. Þetta er gert til þess að auka meðvitund um hinsegin regnhlífina. 

Næsti fundur er 7. febrúar klukkan 16 í Frosta og alla mánudaga í Vor.

In the beginning of this year Frosti created its own queer-club answering to an existisng demand. The preparations are still ongoing with weekly meetings where queer and questinoning kids are welcome to discuss what they would like from the future and the queer-club.

The goal of the Frosti queer-club is to give queer kids a safe space to discuss, find friends, and spend time together with other queer kids. We also work continuously, together with the queer-club, to make sure that Frosti is as welcoming to the queer community as possible.

We have made posters with some pride flags and descriptions on what they are to put up inside Frosti. This is to further the knowledge of the queer community and different identities within.

The next meeting is on February the 7th at 16:00  in Frosti and every Monday at 16:00
