Félagsmiðstöðin 105 fær fyrsta græna skrefið! / The 105 Youth Centre gets the first Green Step

Á dögunum kláraði Félagsmiðstöðin 105 fyrsta græna skrefið fyrir vinnustaði Reykjavíkurborgar og kom fulltrúi verkefnisins á opnun til að afhenda viðurkenninguna. 

Verkefnið Græn skref í starfsemi Reykjavíkurborgar snýst um að efla vistvænan rekstur á öllum vinnustöðum borgarinnar með það markmið að hafa jákvæð áhrif á umhverfið og bæta umhverfi bæði barna og starfsfólks. Vonin er að með tímanum séu öll þau börn og unglingar sem sækja starfið í 105 meðvituð um að félagsmiðstöðin sé ávallt að huga að umhverfinu og að þau sjálf séu þátttakendur í þeirri vegferð með starfsfólkinu.

Skrefin eru fjögur í heildina og er félagsmiðstöðin byrjuð að vinna að næsta skrefi og stefnir að klára það sem fyrst!

Recently the 105 Youth Centre completed the first Green Step intended for Reykjavík’s workplaces, and a representative of the project came to one of our openings to hand over the award. The project Green steps in Reykjavík is about promoting ecological operations in all the city’s workplaces with the aim of having a positive impact on the environment and improving the environment of both children and staff. The hope is that over time all the children and teenagers who come to the youth centre will be aware that the center is always considering the environment and that they themselves are participants in that journey alongside the staff.

There are four steps in total and the youth centre has already started working on the next step and aims to complete it as soon as possible!
