Örlítil breyting á dagskrá // A little change in the program

Um miðjan september var kosið stórkostlegt nemendaráð í unglingadeild. Þau áttu sinn fyrsta fund í síðustu viku og var þeim mikið í mun að halda fyrsta ball vetrarins sem fyrst. Því var ákveðið að færa til í dagskránni og halda svokallað nýnemaball Austurbæjarskóla til að bjóða 8.bekkinn hjartanlega velkominn í unglingadeildina 30.september næstkomandi. Við munum svo senda út foreldrapóst þegar nær dregur að ballinu en hvetjum alla til að merkja þessa dagsetningu í dagatalið því þetta verður ball aldarinnar!

In mid-September a fabulous student council was elected in 8th to 10th grade. They had their first meeting last week and it was very important for them to hold the first dance of the winter as soon as possible. Therefore it was decided to make some adjustments in the program and hold a so-called freshman ball for Austurbæjarskóli to offer the 8th grade a warm welcome to the last level in elementary school the 30th of September. We will then send out a parent email next week but we encourage everyone to mark this date in their calendar because this will be the dance of the century!
