Leiklist og lagasmíð í Spennistöðinni / Theater and music making in Spennistöðin

Vikuna 28.júní-2. júlí héldum við í Tjörninni leiklistar- og framkomunámskeið í Spennistöðinni fyrir 10-12 ára krakka í hverfinu. Námskeiðið gekk stórkostlega og erum við í skýjunum yfir því hversu vel námskeiðið gekk. Við höfum sjaldan rekist á jafn skapandi hóp og hugrekkið var ótæmandi þegar kom að því að prufa nýja hluti. Á námskeiðinu var farið í hina ýmsu upphitunarleiki ásamt því að snerta á nokkrum formum hins sjarmerandi spuna fyrrihluta vikunnar. Seinni hluti vikunnar fór í að kynna aðferðir við lagasmíð. Krakkarnir lærðu tónlistarspuna, textaæfingar, kynntust öppum sem hægt er að nýta í tónlistarsköpun og að prufa stúdíó. Sköpunarkrafturinn var magnaður í hópnum og fengu krakkarnir að nýta styrkleika sína í sköpun sinni. Síðasta dag námskeiðsins fórum við í nokkra sjálfstyrkingaleiki og æfðu þau sig í að koma auga á kosti sína og hvernig þau gátu nýtt þá í skapandi ferli. Að lokum fengu þau viðurkenningarskjal þar sem starfsfólkið hafði tekið saman þrjá styrkleika sem sá hinn sami hafði sýnt og notað í námskeiðinu. Hópurinn var stútfullur af leikgleði og var yndislegt að eyða vikunni með hópnum. Þau styrktu sig í framkomu og fóru út fyrir þægindarrammann því þar fyrst gerðust töfrarnir.

The week of June 28th – July 2nd we held a theater and music making course in Tjörnin at Spennistöðin for 10-12 year old kids in the neighborhood. The course went great and we are over the moon how well the course went. We have seldom encountered such a creative group and the courage was infinite when it came to trying new things. In the first part of the week we covered the various warm-up games as well as touching on some forms of the charming improv. The second part of the week was spent introducing methods for songwriting. The children learned musical improv, tried out text exercises, got to know apps that can be used in music creation and got to try out a studio. The creativity was amazing in the group and the kids got to use their strengths in their creativity. On the last day of the course we went to some self-empowerment games and they practiced to see their strengths and how they could use them in the creative process. Finally, they received a certificate of recognition where the staff had compiled three strengths that they had shown and used in the course. The group was full of playfulness and it was wonderful to spend the week with the group. They strengthened themselves in performance and went beyond the comfort zone because that was where the magic happens.
