Gul viðvörun er í gildi á höfuðborgarsvæðinu í dag og eru foreldrar og forráðamenn beðnir að sækja börn, yngri en 12 ára, í lok skóla eða frístundastarfs í dag, fimmtudag 9. janúar. Börn eru örugg í skóla og frístundastarfi þar til þau verða sótt. Félagsmiðstöðvar verða opnar en foreldrar eru beðnir um að koma börnum yngri en 12 ára til og frá þeim.

A yellow weather warning has been issued for the greater Reykjavík area today, thursday 9th. Parents and guardians of children younger than 12 years old are asked to pick up their children at the end of the school day or after-school programs. Youth centres will be open but parents of children 12 or under are asked to bring them and collect them.
